UN seeks multi-level approach in fighting piracy

91 Filipino peacekeepers in Darfur honored
The United Nations has awarded peacekeeping medals to 91 Philippine police officers who serve as advisers with the UN-African Union Hybrid Mission in Darfur (Unamid), the Philippine Mission to the UN in New York said in a statement Monday.
3,000 Filipinos in jail overseas—DFA
Some 3,000 Filipinos are in jail in different countries around the world, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
