BAGUIO CITY, Philippines—A local court has ordered former Mayor Braulio Yaranon to pay P500,000 in damages to Gladys Vergara De Vera, daughter of former Mayor Bernardo Vergara, for saying on television in 2005 that the Vergara family had a hand in the murder of her husband, Doctor John De Vera.
