Belo, 3 others on immigration watch list
MANILA, Philippines?The Bureau of Immigration placed on its watch list cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo, Dr. Mark Herbert Rosario, Erick Johnston Chua, and Princess Marie Velasco on the orders of Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera. Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan said the four will remain on the watch list for 60 days unless sooner terminated or extended. ?So long as they are in our watch list, they will not be allowed to leave the country unless they have a clearance from the Department of Justice,? said BI spokesman Floro Balato Jr. Tetch Torres
Ruby Rose laid to rest sans daughters
MANILA, Philippines?Ruby Rose Barrameda-Jimenez, whose body was stuffed in a cemented drum sealed in a steel box and recovered off the waters of Navotas in Manila Bay, was finally laid to rest Wednesday morning. "Matatahimik ka na. Mahal na mahal ka namin, tandaan mo yan (You will be in peace. We love you so much, remember that)," the sister of the victim, actress and former beauty queen Rochelle Barrameda, uttered between sobs while embracing the white closed casket. As the casket was being lowered into the ground, cries from the immediate members of the Barrameda family grew louder.
