MANILA, Philippines ? Authorities seized several bomb-making components in a warehouse in Tawi-Tawi province Monday morning, the military said on Tuesday.
Major David Hontiveros, spokesman of the Western Mindanao Command, said his men confiscated 3,700 blasting caps, 87 meters of detonation cord, and seven big boxes containing cyanide at a warehouse in the village of Lamion, Bonggao town before 10 a.m. Monday.
The warehouse was reportedly owned by a certain Nasser.
Hontiveros said that the discovery of the warehouse was made after authorities intercepted still unidentified suspects at a police checkpoint. Found in the possession of the suspects were one box containing blasting caps and a meter of detonation cord.
?Wesmincom is coordinating with the PNP (Philippine National Police) for the legal processing of the suspects,? he said.
