MANILA, Philippines ? The chief of Manila Police District inspected the Manila South Cemetery on Saturday and was pleased with the peaceful situation.
"So far, no problem or untoward incident has been reported," Chief Superintendent Rodolfo Magtibay told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Magtibay added that as of noon, only one bladed weapon had been confiscated.
"I'm happy that the visitors listened to our advisories," he said.
Magtibay asked the cemetery administrator to make improvements on the drainage system as some tombs were in ankle-deep water.
