MANILA, Philippines ? No Filipino was among the three people killed and 60 injured when two passenger trains collided early morning in Central China Sunday, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.
?As of today [Monday], there was no Filipino reportedly hurt in train collision. The Philippine embassy in Beijing continues to monitor developments,? the DFA said in a statement.
The accident happened at 2:34 a.m. at the railway station in Chenzhou, a city of about four million people in the central province of Hunan.
Reports said that several carriages were derailed in the collision between the two trains, which were both headed for the city of Shenzhen just north of Hong Kong.
