MANILA, Philippines -- Because of the many public holidays this December, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday released a schedule for the application and release of passports.
Like most government offices, the DFA will be closed on the following days: December 1 (Bonifacio Day); December 2 (Araw ng Pasay); December 25(Christmas Day); December 26(as per Proclamation No. 1463); December 29 (also as per Proclamation No. 1463); December 30 (Rizal Day); December 31 (Last Day of the Year); and January 1 (New Year's Day).
However, the DFA said passport applicants whose new passports are due for release on December 2, Tuesday, may claim and receive these on that day.
Likewise, passport applicants with confirmed appointments for passport processing on December 6, Saturday; will be provided service as scheduled.Veronica Uy, INQUIRER.net
