PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria -- Six Filipinos were kidnapped early Saturday in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger Delta by armed men who attacked their vessel near the key Bonny oil terminal, security sources told AFP.

A number of men raided the M/V Avero in the waters off Bonny, kidnapping the captain and five sailors, the sources said. The army and security forces could not confirm the incident.
