Abu Dhabi, UAE- Dec.27, 2007- Ofelia Lumakang came to Dubai for better opportunity and was in shock to know that she had leukemia. (With everyone’s help), she left the UAE via Dubai Airport last Dec. 25 2007 via Business Class of Emirates Airlines and took an onward flight from Manila to Davao via Philippine Airlines, landing at Davao International Airport on Dec 26, Wednesday.

She was thankful to the people from all walks of life, of various nationalities who were giving her strength and she was delighted at the help a local lady extended, giving her word that though there was unintentional miscommunication between them, everything was settled before she left the UAE. Ofelia was thankful for the lady’s help.

On her behalf, would like to thank everyone for granting her wish despite of the pros and cons. She and her family sincerely thanked everyone for all the prayers, support and especially monetary assistance with hard-earned money, especially those who donated it instead of buying Xmas gifts, particularly the low income earners like housemaids, mall staff, laborers...

She's back with her family safe and sound and now, she's undergoing necessary medical needs for her illness. She hopes you will continue to support and pray for her immediate recovery. They would like to thank everyone, not only Filipinos but all the people who followed her case...your generosity and support are highly appreciated.

They wanted to see and personally thank all those behind the support extended. Still, they would like to send their sincere thanks to all of you – including the management of EMIRATES AIRLINES, Saqr Hospital, Ras Al Khaimah and the Philippine Consulate/Philippine Embassy, the people from all walks of life, of various nationalities, UAE-based and non-UAE based Samaritans for their support in helping our sister in a distressed situation with transport back to Philippines despite her condition...

May God truly bless you and your families for your good deeds.
