VALLEJO, Ca--Filipino American Mixed Martial Arts fighter Mark Muñoz returns home December 13 to celebrate his TKO against Ricardo Barros. The 2 minute, 26 second victory, posted at www.wec.tv, occurred December 3 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Muñoz makes a special appearance Saturday, December 13 at Pasko Expo in Vallejo, CA at 6pm to acknowledge the coaches, family, and community who supported his wrestling career and celebrate his sterling 5-0 win-loss record.
"I would not be where I am today without all the help I had along the years," said Muñoz. "I've been supported by many and now I want to give back to the community."
Photos, T-shirts and posters autographed by Muñoz will be available. He will meet with fans, take photographs and answer questions about his career from the media from 5 to 6 pm at the Solano County Fair Grounds, 900 Fairgrounds Drive.
Muñoz has an impressive background. Prior to his most recent fight against Barros, Munoz knocked out his opponent, Chuck Grisby, in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. He currently possesses a 5-0 mixed martial arts (MMA) record, a Division 1 NCAA Wrestling Champion and a two-time Big 12 Wrestling Conference Champion.
