CAMP Vicente Lim, Laguna ? Anti-narcotic agents seized P100,000 worth of high-valued drugs allegedly coming from Samar province and used as samples for drug trade in Metro Manila and Cavite, an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said yesterday.

Around 20 grams of cocaine, five grams of shabu and some plastic sachets that contained marijuana were seized from the residence of Tanih Khamilan in a raid early yesterday in barangay Salawag, Dasmariñas City in Cavite, PDEA Information officer IV Derrick Carreon said in a phone interview.

Khamilan has been tagged a member of a large drug syndicate that transported illegal drugs from the Visayas to Luzon, Carreon said. He said Khamilan's group was also involved in carnapping and gun-for-hire cases in Cavite.

The PDEA official confirmed the suspect's "large" participation in narcotics trade involving politicians.

"We cannot comment on political (personalities)," Carreon, however, said when asked to name the politicians behind the operation.

Khamilan was brought to the national headquarters of the PDEA for further investigation.
