Espinosa makes 18-U boys final in Mandaue tennis

JUNNEL Espinosa arranged a titular match against Mark Bienes for the 18-Under boys title in the 4th Mandaue City Mayor’s Junior Tennis Cup, which will come to an end today at the Mandaue City tennis courts.

Espinosa advanced to the final round with a 10-8 edging of Januel Bracasa while Bienes earned the right to face him with a 10-2 routing f Jose Amado Lominoque.

In the 16-Under boys, Ralp Juliane could be looking at his first title of the year after booking a finals ticket. He faces Marc Norman Enriquez.

Juliane entered the final round after beating Michael Necesario, 10-6, while Enriquez advanced by nipping Jarryd Laurel, 10-6.

Kinaadman clinched his finals ticket with a 10-2 bashing of Raymart Cortes. Pepito, for his part, lambasted Lasiste, 10-1.

The 12-Under boys title will be contested by Gener Francis Lambayan and Clyde Laquio.

Lambayan whipped Nathaniel Alipe, 10-2, while Laquio booted out Francis Hidalgo, 10-2.

In the distaff side, Claire Lazaga will go up against Elgy Dasian for the 18-Under girls’ title.

Lazaga arranged a finals match against Dasian by demolishing Bianca Cenabre, 10-1. Dasian whipped past Joanna Jaranillo, 10-5.

Elma Dasian will be vying for the 16-Under girls’ title. She will go up against Sharalyn Tunacao.

In the 14-Under girls, hoping to bag the title is Beverly Enriquez, who routed Jill Marion Go, 10-2, in their semifinal match. She will be facing Mary Calapre, who wiped out Berlie Buanhug, 10-2.

In the 12 under girls, Shenna Maine Dungog advanced to the final round against Allysa Bornia.
