JUNIOR shooters from around the Philippines gathered yesterday at the Kamagong Gun Club firing range in Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City for the two-day 1st Philippine Practical Shooting Association Junior Nationals-Rotary Cup.
This weekend?s handgun competition is a level 2 Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA)-sanctioned event.
The competition has seven stages. Divisions are production, standard and open.
Rep. Jack Enrile, PPSA president, will award PPSA President?s medals to the top 10 shooters in each division.
Aside from cultivating new shooters, the competition is also aimed at promoting further awareness on gun safety and responsible firearm ownership as well as acquiring proper discipline and attitude towards firearms among the youth.
Regular Shooters could also take part in the competition and will be given a separate set of awards.
This competition is organized by PPSA assistant area coordinator Lowell Belarmino and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cebu-Uptown.
