JUANITO Rubillar could get another shot at a world boxing crown after promoter Rodney Berman of Golden Gloves Promotions ordered a rematch between the Filipino and IBF light flyweight champion Hekkie ?The Hexecutioner? Budler of South Africa.
The rematch will be at the Emperors Palace near Johannesburg on July 19 with only one South African judge in the panel while opening the possibility of a Filipino judge also being appointed for the fight according to Berman.
?It will be different this time. Two of the judges will be from overseas. Whether one of them will be from the Philippines is a matter for the IBO to decide.?
Rubilar failed in his bid for the IBF light flyweight tiara after losing to Budler where all three judges were South African.
Bernan said that they never intended to appoint three South African judges but claimed that one of the officials from Australia chosen by the IBO had visa problems and did not arrive on time.
While the undefeated Budler started aggressively and took the early rounds, Rubillar rallied in the latter rounds.
