THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos-South Campus Baby Warriors sizzled at the start of the ML Kwarta Padala Cup of the Cebu Youth Basketball League as they swept all their games in the opening playdate Sunday at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuits basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Their 10-under squad emerged victorious as they trampled over SHS-J, 31-14, while their 16-under squads also achieved the same feat.
The USC South-B defeated PAREF Springdale, 53-37, while their South-A squad routed the Ave Maria Sanctuary and Park-University of San Jose-Recoletos, 66-39.
Another USC team, this time, the North squad, also won in the 16-Under division, defeating the Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT), 68-41.
Ave Maria though, redeemed themselves with a 21-6 win over Springdale in the other 10-under game while the 13-under division saw the SHS-J A team defeat their sister squad, SHS-J B, 46-36.
USJ-R also crushed Southwestern University (SWU), 61-24 in a 13-Under Developmental Division game. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
