MABA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur

8 p.m. ? KL Dragons vs. RP Patriots

THE PHILIPPINE Patriots will try to book for themselves a slot in the finals of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) when they face off against the Kuala Lumpur Dragons in Game 2 of the best-of-three semifinals series today at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A win today will put the Patriots in the finals, where they will take on the winner of the other semifinals affair between the Singapore Slingers and the Satria Muda Britama of Indonesia.

The Patriots earned home court advantage throughout the playoffs by topping the grueling triple-round eliminations with a 11-4 (win-loss) record.

The Patriots easily toppled the Dragons in Game 1, 77-43, behind a balanced scoring attack spearheaded by imports Jason Dixon and Gabe Freeman, who each had double-double performances. Head coach Louie Alas, however, remains wary as the last time the Patriots were in the Dragons' lair, they received a 59-77 beatdown.

The Dragons are hoping to squeeze the best from Kuete and American Jamal Brown. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
