Patriots take on Dragons

First Posted 08:15:00 12/19/2009

THE PHILIPPINE Patriots will be aiming to get back on the winning track when they clash with the Kuala Lumpur Dragons, today in the ASEAN Basketball League Championship at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Back in the friendly confines of their homecourt, the Patriots will be out to regain their bearings especially after their shocking 70-95 loss to the Brunei Barracudas last weekend.

Their bid will be bolstered by the return of defensive stalwart Nonoy Baclao, who missed the last game due to his commitment to the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League.

Espiritu remains a doubtful starter due to a broken cheek bone inflicted by Indonesian American import Nakiea Miller two weeks ago.

The Patriots are still leading the 6-nation tournament with a 7-2 (win-loss) record but are expected to go all out against a Dragons squad that is raring to exact revenge on them.
