Liloan, which boasts of some of the collegiate level?s talented players along with the commercial circuit?s grittiest, followed up their dominating win over Dumanjug during the opening day of action with another romp as they destroyed their opponents, 25-19, 25-11, to improve to 2-0 (win-loss).
Showcasing their skills were James Rivera, Angelino Visoc, Jade Becaldo and Jackie Yrog-Yrog with the help of former University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) player Marianito Gomez and Maynard Alejandrino.
Not to be outdone, Liloan?s chief rivals, Minglanilla, defeated Sta. Fe, 25-22, 25-21, for their second win in as many games.
Minglanilla is being powered by USJ-R assistant coach Dave Arreza along with current USJ-R spiker O?Neil Sanchez.
In other results in the men?s side, Compostela clobbered Carmen, 25-13, 25-14 while Tuburan eked past Dalaguete in three sets, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22.
On the distaff side, Catmon got its third win in a row without breaking a set as they defeated Daan Bantayan by default.
Also coming out as winners were Compostela, which defeated Dalaguete, 25-16, 24-26, 25-21; Sta. Fe, which trounced Sogod, 25-23, 25-23; and Barili, which defeated Tuburan, 25-21, 25-15.
