For Glenn Aguilar, its not the bike that matters.

Using a borrowed motorbike, Aguilar flaunted the skills that netted him 11 national titles as he ruled the 14th leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed the 1st Hon. Zigfed Povadora Duterte Motocross Challenge held last Saturday in barangay Caduawan, Tabogon town, northern Cebu.

Aguilar, who had to borrow Siegfred Ornopia's bike, bagged the expert crown, spoiling the return of Irwin Uypitching of Rusi Rusco Team, who settled for first runner-up. Paolo Inoc settled for second runner-up.

Aguilar also won the professional category title, beating Jon-jon Adlawan of PSR Team and Uypitching.

The Manila-based Inoc had the chance to bounce back in the intermediate division race when he was able to build respectable lead but succumbed to engine malfunction to eventually yield the crown to Juvenille Abellar of PSR Team.

Other winners included Joseph Enriquez (peewee five-years-old below), BJ Pepito (peewee seven-years-old below), Brylle Ornopia (mini 65), JC Obligado (local selection), Brylle Ornopia (mini pantra), Dongkey Sanchez (local enduro and open/novice enduro), Andy Kricle (executive C), Jun Enriquez (executive B), Siegfred Ornopia (executive A), John Flores (novice open production) and Ryan Querol (beginners production).

The race was supported by Congressman Benhur Salimbangon, Sunriser, Jigma Construction, Castrol Power One and the barangay council of Canduawan.

Veteran motocross organizer Lou Ornopia said the 15th leg of the competition will be held on Nov. 8 in Boljoon town.
