THE Cebu Unique Trade of team owner Ronel Tiu tripped favored AMBL Enterprises & Advertising of Allan Lim, 103-97, Wednesday night for its 2nd win in five games in the ongoing 1st Punta Princesa Ball Club (PPBC)-2009, Vice Mayor Mike Rama Cup basketball tournament.
AMBL led by one, 29-28 in the first quarter but Unique Trade erased the deficit and erected a 5-point advantage, 51-46 at the half. It padded the lead to seven, 77-70 at the end of the third canto then quashed any comeback attempt by AMBL in the fourth.
Ronel Tiu played a key role in the Traders? solid fourth quarter as he scored all his 14 points in that stretch.
Rolly Catubig and Balong Navarro had 27 and 18 points, respectively for Unique Trade, while Robert Abasolo and Lito Navarro paced AMBL with 23 and 22 points, respectively.
In the other game, Heartvit led by skipper Charlie Reyes routed J-Art Sportsmasters, 121-93.
After a 32-all deadlock in the opening period, Heartvit staged a blistering 30-9 rally in the 2nd and cruised the rest of the way for a 6-2 record. J-Art fell to 2-3.
Alfred Lim led Heartvit with 22 points, while Reynold Zamora and Efren Mosqueda had 14 points each.
