IT WAS ANOTHER day in the office for the multi-titled David G. Lim (DGL) of the powerhouse DGL Motorsports team as he ruled the fourth leg of the Philippine Autocross Championships Series held at the Parkmall open parking area over the weekend.
Save for the second leg of the scheduled five-leg series, DGL has dominated every race, en route to 36 points in the overall tally for the Driver of the Year award.
DGL won eight of the total nine titles the team won in the two-day race.
He took home titles in the novice modified A, B and C classes, experienced modified A, B and C, and open B and C categories.
A big revelation for the team was David Lim Jr.?s win in the open A class, which was the team?s ninth title for the leg.
The younger Lim showed he is right on track in following his dad?s footsteps as he outclassed experienced racers such as No Care Racing?s Jong King and ACR?s Ervin Go, who finished second and third, respectively.
DGL, meanwhile, showed he still is in a class of his own as he once again logged the fastest time in the race at 1:05.33.
Other winners were NCR?s Philip Khan Lim (novice stock A, C, all automatic transmission), Derek Arculli of Kart Zone (all-wheel drive, all sports car, all rear wheel), Charlie Pages (all sports car), Louie Blanco of Textar Racing Cebu (Papa Joe?s) and Dub City?s Shinichi Akasaka (Roger Rabbit).
