Junrey Asignar of Nasipit Talamban dominated the open category of the 1st Banilad Town Center (BTC) Indoor Boulder Climbing Challenge over the weekend at the BTC.
Asignar tapped out in boulders 1 and 2 in round 1 to rule the category.
Teammate Ritchie Asignar claimed second place honors while Francis Loie Cezar of 3D Storm Studio finished third.
16 year-old William Pardis of Banilad ruled the 20 years below category (junior Mens).
Pardis tapped out boulder’s 1 and 2 in the opener and managed to tap boulder one in the final round.
St. Francis of Assisi School’s Joshua Suson placed second followed by jasper Barina of Lahug in the third.
19 year-old, Eva Dyne Endico of University of San Carlos (USC)main campus outlasted male opponents in the 20 years below mixed novice category.
Endico beat Jude Carlito Go of St. Francis of Assisi and Carlo Anthony Morales of PAREF Springdale School, who placed second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, 12 year-old,Jan Joseph Suson of the Don Bosco Technical School tapped boulders one and two in the final climb to grab the first spot of the 12 years under category while Kalyka Antoni Carcel of PAREF southcrest School finished second and Paul Suson of Child Learning Foundation placed third.
