THE AUSTRAL-Asia 3-Gun Match starts today at the Clark Airbase with Team Cebu scheduled to compete against some of the best marksmen in Asia.
The degree of difficulty and the kind of competition is the same with that of the Asian Games, since it is a level 4 Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA)-sanctioned match. It is also accredited by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC).
Team Cebu is sponsored by M. Lhuillier Pawnshop group of companies. The team is composed of Atty. Bayani Atup, Joy Bagaluyos and JP Amadora for the Open Division, Ric Bono for the Modified Division, Keith Siao and Arestil Famor for the Standard Division and Joel Concepcion for the Production Division.
Team Cebu Junior Shooters will also be going up against the best with the Belarmino brothers Ariel and Martin in the Production Juniors, Kevin Cortes in the Standard Juniors and the Tan Unkheng brothers Sherwin and Saldie in the Open Division. CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
