VICTIMS of typhoon Ondoy will get more help from Cebuanos after the CebuDocGroup of Hospitals and University agreed to double the proceeds of the upcoming Run for Ondoy Victims slated this Sunday at the Cebu Doctor's University (CDU) at the North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City.
Proceeds of the race, organized by the Run for Sight Foundation, will be immediately turned over to the ABS-CBN Foundation during the awarding ceremony.
The race that will feature 5K and 10K categories.
It is the second charity run that the Run for Sight Foundation is organizing after the Guinsaugon Run in 2006.
That race netted at least P40,000 which was donated to the victims of the Guinsaugon landslide.
Organizers of the race urged the participants to wear white top and encouraged them to bring used clothing or canned goods that would also be donated to the typhoon victims.
