AFTER A WEEK-LONG break, the action in the 2009 Smart Liga Pilipinas Conference 3 will be going back to full throttle today as it hits the shores of Cebu once again, with the Mandaue City leg being hosted by the Mandaue Landmaster at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Center.
Mandaue will be going up against the Quezon Red Oilers in the main game today at 6 pm. The Red Oilers are armed with much momentum after claiming the leg title in the General Santos City leg a few weeks back.
The Oliver Bunyi-mentored squad now have 23 points and are tied for fourth place in the standings with 23 points. The Landmasters, on the other hand, have struggled in their maiden season and have just eight points to show so far.
Current third place Forward Taguig will also be seeing action in this leg as they will be battling the Zamboanga Uno Latinos at 4 pm. Taguig has 25 points, ways ahead of the Latinos, who are bringing up the bottom of the standings with just four points.
