Mark Ababon took the scoring cudgels in the ensuing stanza as he scored 10 points to two the Niños to a 39-12 lead.
By the third period, the outcome was settled as Bruce Dacia added 10 more points, followed by back-to-back triples by Stephen Padilla, another triple by Ababon and a basket by Ian Saladaga that gave the Niños their biggest lead of the game, 75-42.
The Niños and Red Oilers were disputing the leg championship as of press time while the Meteors and Rapids will tangle for third place.
