Ceasar Lokines of Benguet Province beat some of the best bodybuilders in the country today as he bagged the overall title in the Mr. and Ms. Workout Philippines 2009 Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships last Sunday at the Midtwon Hotel.
Lokines, winner in the Medium Class, pocketed P20,000 for his victory in this prestigous event.
Louie Galvez of Cagayan De Oro City and Bacolod's Paolo Benit were the other top contenders for the overall crown.
Galvez won the Novice Class and Short Class titles and got P5,000 for that. Benit won the Tall Class crown.
Benit finished second in the Novice Class Category while Sanny Cacasi came in at third.
Vernon Dingal and Marlon finished second and third in the Tall Class, respectively.
In the Masters Class Category, 50 year-old Cebuano Nestor Bihagan proved that he is still one of the best as he ruled the category against younger competitors. Cacasi of Iligan took second place while Mori Carrera of Baguio landed at third.
Lokines, meanwhile, beat multi-titled Jimmy Onsok of Zamboanga City in the Medium Class while Ricky Taganahanan of Lucena City finished third.
In the Women's Ms. Physique category, Luzviminda Mcclinton was declared champion to upset multi-titled bodybuilders Rowena Marcaida and Emaylie Guiyap, who finsihed second and third, respectively. Andy Le Guarda, on the other hand, won the Best in Presentation award.
