FOUR of the country's finest bodybuilders will vie in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. Workout Philippines 2009 Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships on August 30, 2009 at the Grand Ballroom of the Cebu Midtown Hotel.
The multi titled bodybuilders include Emmy Guiyap (Ms. Shape International champion 2008, Ms. Boracay 2009 champion), Jimmy Onsok (Mr. Boracay Philippines 2009 champion), Angelica Altavano (two-time Ms. Philippines 2002 and 2003) and Sammuel Solon (Mr. Philippines NABBA 2007).
The event is organized by the Workout Fitness Center headed by Dennis Delgado.
Of the early registrants, 15 are from Manila; seven from Baguio; six from Zamboanga and Ilo-ilo; five from Bacolod and Davao; four from Roxas City and Boracay; three from Ozamis City and 17 from Cebu bringing to 75 the number of contenders.
The men?s division will have five classes - Masters, Tall Class, Medium Class, Short Class and Novice. The women?s division will have the Miss Physique and Miss Fitness categories.
Each of the men?s class champions will receive P5,000, trophy and medal, second placers will get P3,000 cash and medal while third placers will receive P2,000 and medal. Fourth to fifth placers will get a plaque and P1,000 worth of gift packs.
The five men?s class champions will then duke it out in the Battle of Champions with the over-all winner getting P20,000.
Registration fee is P250 inclusive of buffet dinner during the pre-judging, t-shirt and certificate of participation.
