Loren Dale Echavez continues to make waves in Singapore as she logged six new record-breaking times in the Singapore Invitational Swimming Championships at the Singapore Island Country Club.

The multi-awarded Echavez of the University of San Carlos ruled the 200 IM in two minutes, 36.78 seconds, the 100m butterfly in 1:09.34 and the 50m freestyle in 28.81 last Saturday, breaking all records posted by Alessandria Gosh in 2005.

Yesterday, Echavez was able to harvest another set of record breaking times in the 100 freestyle with her time of 1:01.87, breaking Goh's record of 1:08.17. She also made a new record in the 50 fly with a time of 31.34, erasing Tharin Keeree?s old record of 32.04.

She also won a gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle open competition aside from the gold medal she won last Saturday.

Around 150 swimmers from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei participated in the competition.
