SURPRISE leaders College of St. Benilde Blazers and San Sebastian College-Recoletos Stags will duke it out to see which team is the real deal today when the 85th NCAA basketball tournament continues at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Blazers and the Stags are undefeated so far in the tournament as they each hold similar 2-0 (win-loss) records.

However, one must fall today and both teams are expected to give it their all to keep their respective records unblemished.

The Blazers, who are aiming to barge into the Final Four after a lengthy absence, have beaten guest team Angeles Univeristy Foundation, 86-77, in their first outing and eked past Mapua, 74-70, for their second win in as many matches.

Still, the wards of rookie head coach Richard del Rosario cannot afford to grow complacent with their record as they also started the same way last year but won just two of their remaining 12 games to finish with an abysmal 4-10 record.

On the other hand, the Stags are flying high after their 83-77 win over the three-time defending champions San Beda Red Lions last week. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
