Game today:

(Araneta Coliseum)

7 p.m.- Ginebra vs. San Miguel

Danny Ildefonso and Marc Pingris return to action today, hoping to give San Miguel the needed spark as the embattled Beermen try to climb out of a 1-2 deficit against Ginebra in Game Four of their best-of-seven championship showdown of the 34th PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ginebra grabbed a 2-1 lead after completing a come-from-behind 116-103 win in last Sunday's Game Three.

Ildefonso and Pingris missed that game after serving their suspensions for their involvement in a post-game fight with a fan in Game Two.

Ginbera's Jay-jay Helterbrand struggled in that game and scored nine points. However, the speedy point guard was still credited for the Kings' huge victory.

?I thank him for suggesting we use Willy Wilson on Jay Washington,? Ginebra coach Jong Uichico told pba.ph. ?I said yes because what I was doing wasn?t working. He said, 'Let?s play Willie and see what he can do.' So I started him in the second half and it worked out well.?

Washington scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half that allowed the Beermen to erect a 61-48 lead after two quarters of play.

Wilson put the clamps on Washington in the second half that heavily contributed to San Miguel's offensive meltdown.

San Miguel coach Tanquingcen said no one to blame of their second half collapse but themselves.

?We shot ourselves in the foot. We can't expect to give up 40 points in one quarter and win,? Tanquingcen said. ?If we play our defense, it's not gonna be an issue. We've got enough people to fill up what is needed. If we, as a unit, don't defend it's gonna be difficult for us.?

David Noel had his breakout game as a Ginebra import in Game Three where he tallied 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Meanwhile, the league pays tribute tonight to its founding commissioner ? the late Leo Prieto.

The affair scheduled at 5 p.m. precedes the Leo Awards -- an annual event fittingly named after him to honor the league?s best performers of the year ? and Game 4 of the Finals.
