TOP-RANKED darters from Luzon and Mindanao will come to Cebu for the upcoming 100K Mayor and Vice Mayor Cup 2009 Cebu City National Dart Open this coming Friday at the Baseline Recreation Center.
National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) fourth-ranked Jojo Barellano of Davao leads the list of participants together with number 12 Lourence Ilagan of Cainta, Metro Manila.
Other darters include Ian Perez, Boie Parfan, Laurence Ilagan, Gale Boy Gionson, Jojo Barellano, Bert Lozano and Arvy Briones.
Darters from Cagayan De Oro, Davao, Agusan, Butuan, Aklan, Iloilo, Bacolod, San Carlos City, Baguio, Cotabato, Pasay, Navotas, Cainta, Rizal and Tanjay City are also expected to join the tournament.
The opening ceremnoy will be headed by Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña and Vice Mayor Michael Rama along with Councilor Jack Jakosalem.
The tournament is sanctioned by the National Darts Federation of the Philippines.
P100,000 worth of prizes will be given away for the winning darters. /Correspondent Dale Israel
