Green K2S still unbeaten in SFAA basketball

GREEN K2S led by Nestor Kyamko soared to its clean 6-0 record after beating Maroon-Roger Morri, 97-85, Sunday at the start of the 2nd elimination round of the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA)-2009 basketball tournament at the CEC gym.

Green K2S led by eight, 28-20 in the opening quarter behind Rick Dayondon who scored 14 points in the stretch and padded it to 21 points, 60-39 at the half for the easy win.

Dayondon had 24 points for K2S while Edgar Godinez paced Maroon with 23 points.

Earlier, White-Sunpride Sunny Hotdog routed Black-AC Sports of Archie Baba, 84-60 for a 4-2 record Black fell to 3-3.

Dodong Edera had a game-high 20 points for White while Tata Detuya and Jerome Tesorero had 15 points apiece. Tony Piloton and Bebot Singson paced the losing Black with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

In the third game, Yellow-Master Drug ripped Blue-Pitogo, 86-72, for its 4th win in 6 games, while Blue went down to 1-5.

Michael Sumayang led Yellow with a game-high 34 points including five triples.
