The Aloguinsan chess team competes in the upcoming Inter-Cities and Municipalities Chess Team Tournament scheduled April 11 to 16 in Tarlac.
Team Aloguinsan will be made up of some of Aloguinsan?s best woodpushers headed by National Master (NM) Leonardo Alidane, Sharon Pacris, Ryan Pacris, Cristel Fajardo and reserve Peterson Sia.
The team?s expenses are sponsored by Mayor Cynthia Romero and Vice Mayor Chaunce Romero and Congressman Pablo Garcia.
The Inter-Cities and Municipalities Chess Team tournament is sponsored by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP).
After their campaign in Tarlac, Aloguinsan will conduct an open chess tournament. The exact date will be announced this May. /Correspondent Dale G. Rosal
