Manny Pacquiao won't have anything to do with Juan Manuel Marquez anymore.

This was the observation made by Golden Boy Promotions chief executive officer Richard Schaefer on Sunday, following Marquez' masterful destruction of Cuban Joel Casamayor for the linear lightweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

“There’s no way Bob Arum and Pacquiao are going to fight him again,” Schaefer was quoted as saying by Kevin Lole. “I don’t think Pacquiao wants anything to do with Juan Manuel Marquez any more.”

“Juan Manuel Marquez will fight anyone. He’s never turned down anyone," Schaefer added. "Have you ever heard him turn down any opponent?”

Golden Boy Promotions now plans to pit Marquez against another big-name lightweight Juan Diaz, who easily decisioned Michael Katsidis last week in Texas.

Meanwhile, Oscar De la Hoya has stated that up to this time, he has not yet found a new trainer for his fight against Pacquiao while at the same time indicating he would be more than willing to share trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr.

"There is no decision on who the trainer is going to be," De La Hoya told ESPN.com's Dan Rafael. "We'll be making a decision in the next couple of days."

Should Mayweather Sr. opt to train another fighter, De la Hoya said the three names being considered for the job include Nacho Beristain, Jesus Rivero and Rudy Perez.

"I wouldn't mind sharing Floyd. Floyd Sr. is worth sharing if that is what it takes," De La Hoya stated. "If it can't be worked out, I'm going to move on and get another trainer.”

“It's going to take a call from me directly to Ricky (Hatton) and say, 'Hey, what do you think? Can we work something out?' I think it's still possible. But the time is coming where I have to make a decision and that decision has to be made in a few days,” he added.
