AFTER having the basketball tournament take most of the spotlight in the eighth staging of the Cesafi tournament, the auxiliary events will now have their turn.
The opening ceremony of the auxiliary events kickoff today at the Cebu Coliseum, start at 9 a.m.
Presiding the ceremony will be Cesafi president, Engr. Rolando Villa and commissioner Felix Tiukinhoy.
After the parade of colors from the different participating athletes from the member schools, Villa will issue his welcome remarks after which, he will lead the induction of the tournament managers of the different events.
Michael Motel, a varsity player of table tennis for the University of Cebu and a four-time National Prisaa champion, will lead the oath of sportsmanship for the athletes and coaches.
Different “Palabas” presentations from the 11 Cesafi schools will close out the opening festivities.
The auxiliary events of the Cesafi are athletics, badminton, chess, dancesport, football, lawn tennis, table tennis, taekwondo, karatedo, scrabble, sepak takraw, volleyball, beach volleyball and swimming.
