THE COUNTRY'S most respected junior basketball tournament, the Best Center Twin Tournament, returns for another edition as the Cebu leg unfolds tomorrow at the Sacred Heart School-Jesuit (SHS-J) campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.
The Passerelle division has attracted 13 squads that has been divided into two divisions.
Group A is composed of SHS-J, University of Cebu, University of San Carlos South, Don Bosco-B, Bright Academy, USC North-B, and Cebu Institute of Technology. Group B is comprised of USC North-A, Don Bosco-A, University of Southern Philippines Foundation, Salazar Institute of Technology, Pope John Seminary and PAREF Springdale.
In the SBP division, eight teams, also split into two groups, will battle it out in the 12-under age group category. Group A is composed SHSJ, USC South, Don Bosco-B and USPF while Group B is composed of USC North, Don Bosco-A, Cebu Eastern College and Southwestern University.
The SHS-J Eagles' bid for back-to-back titles in the two divisions will not be an easy one with the loss of key players in their line-up as well as the return of powerhouse squads UC and USC.
The Cebu leg of the tournament is the country’s longest-running privately-run tournament for the Under 14 and 12 age groups with Milo as its lead sponsor. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
