Ateneo stays on top UAAP standings

THE ATENEO Blue Eagles kept their unbeaten record intact after they blasted the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, 83-66, yesterday in the 71st UAAP men's basketball competition at the PhilSports Arena.

Explosive rookie Ryan Buenafe led the Blue Eagles' fourth win in as many games by firing 17 points, the most by an Ateneo rookie in the last six years.

Big man Rabeh Al-Hussaini again dominated the paint as he tallied 13 markers and had seven rebounds.
The Maroons succumbed to their their third straight loss after starting the season with an 86-72 win over the National University (NU) Bulldogs.
