Game today:
(Ynares Center, Antipolo)
7 p.m.- Coca-Cola vs. Magnolia
THE LAST semifinal slot will be at stake when the Magnolia Beverage Masters and the Coca-Cola Tigers collide in a do-or-die battle of the PBA Fiesta Cup quarterfinal round today at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The Beverage Masters moved a game away from barging to the semis when they took Game One, 108-96, but the Tigers got a new lease on life when they pulled off a 91-90 thriller in Game Two last Wednesday.
Rookie Ronjay Buenafe saved the Tigers from the jaws of defeat when he banged in the game-winning basket in the final 7.2 seconds.
"I didn’t say much before the game, forgetting the Xs and Os. I just told the boys to just do their best, and they rose to the challenge," Coca-Cola coach Binky Favis told pba.ph after the game.
The winner in today's game will next play the Air21 Express in a best-of-seven series. /Correspondent Calvin Cordova
