Joseph Yeo played another stellar game, leading the Sta. Lucia Realtors to a 111-96 win over the Talk N Text Phone Pals last night in their do-or-die game of the PBA Fiesta Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Last Wednesday, Yeo scored a career-high 27 points and helped the Realtors survive their first sudden-death game by beating the defending champions Alaska Aces, 99-86.

Yeo reset his career-high by firing a new personal-best 29 points against the Pals as the Realtors kept their bid for a second straight crown alive.

The win gave the Realtors, who are the reigning Philippine Cup champions, the last quarterfinals seat and will meet the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings in a best-of-three affair starting tomorrow.

The quarterfinal paring will pit the Magnolia Beverage Masters and the Coca-Cola Tigers.

Yeo scored just three points in the first half but came alive in the second half where the Realtors built double-digit leads and thwarted the Pals' repeated run to seal the win.

The Realtors also got a big lift from import Lee Benson, who erupted for 27 points that went along with his 25 rebounds.

However, Benson signified his intention to go home after last night's game.

“We will be playing Ginebra on Sunday and we could play without an import if he decides to go home immediately. We will talk to him (Benson) and we will do our best to convince him to stay,” Sta. Lucia coach Boyet Fernandez said after the game.

While the Realtors got big numbers from their import, Terrance Leather was a big disappointment for the Pals in the crucial game.

Leather, who entered the game averaging a league-best 30.2 points, tallied just 15 points and was held scoreless in the fourth, where he fouled out.

With Leather having an off-night, Jimmy Alapag and Renren Ritualo tried to take matter into their hands but their efforts still failed to save the Pals from elimination.

Alapag sizzled for 32 points, while Ritualo finished with 24 markers. Alapag and Ritualo combined forces in a mini run that saw the Pals moving within just six points, 83-89, with 4:44 to go.
