The Tamaraws take on the National University Bulldogs at 4 p.m. after the UE Warriors-Mapua Cardinals tussle in the 2 p.m. opener.
FEU and reigning NCAA champion San Beda College share the Group B lead at 3-0.
San Sebastian College meets College of St. Benilde in the 6 p.m. match.
The Warriors, the only unbeaten team in Group A at 2-0, are coming off a 69-67 nipping of the Green Archers last week.
It was sort of a revenge for the Recto-based dribblers who swept the 14-game elimination round in the UAAP last year only to be swept by the Archers in the best-of-three championship.
The Cardinals, toting a 3-2 card in Group B, beat the Stags, 98-76, also last week. Allan Mangahas made 20 points and Erwin Cornejo added 15 in that match that saw the Cards silence the Stags? key players in the second half.
UE will rely on its arsenal of shooters, led by Hans Thiele, Marcy Arellano, Narciso Llagas and James Martinez, who also have to work hard to offset the Cards? constricting defense.
