Home ABOUT 20 Corominas buses will be allowed to ferry Sinulog revelers to various destinations in Cebu City after the festivities.
The owner of Corominas Bus Liner has asked Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB-7) Regional Director Ahmed Cuizon for permission to ply within the city routes.
Cebu City Traffic Operations Management (Citom) chairman Sylvan Jakosalem approved of the idea to decongest Osmeña Boulevard where most revelers converged during the festivities.
Only a few vehicles ply their regular routes because public utility drivers usually also join the Sinulog celebrations with their families.
?Corominas volunteered to let their buses service the people after the festivity. But they will only be waiting in areas outside the parade routes,? Jakosalem told CEBU DAILY NEWS.
The LTFRB-7 and the Land Transportation Office ? Central Visayas (LTO-7) were advised of the arrangement.
The Corominas buses will however charge the same rate as the jeepneys regularly plying the routes.
