THE administration's presidential candidate, Defense Secretary Gilbert ?Gibo? Teodoro visited Danao City yesterday to seek the Durano family's support for his candidacy.
Teodoro, dressed in an Air Force suit, landed in the Danao City oval near the Cebu State College of Science and Technology in barangay Sabang aboard a Philippine Air Force helicopter.
A vehicle brought him to the house of Danao City Mayor Ramonito Durano, father of Tourism Secretary Joseph ?Ace? Durano.
Teodoro, who had a 30-minute closed door meeting, said he was there to inform the elder Durano of his resignation from his post as Defense secretary and to seek support for his candidacy.
Mayor Durano said he did not give any commitment to support Teodoro.
He said he has yet to consult his sons Rep. Red Durano and Tourism Secretary Ace Durano on the matter.
