SOME 23 barangays in Cebu City south district will each receive P3 million in financial assistance from the city government to help in road concreting projects.
But before these barangays may receive the funds, they would have to sign an agreement with Mayor Tomas Osmeña detailing conditions for the use of the funds, said Councilor Jose Daluz III.
The release of funds was authorized by the City Council recently, giving the mayor authority to enter into the agreement with the barangays, said Daluz, chairman of the City Council’s committee on budget and finance.
These barangays are Babag, Bonbon, Buhisan, Pamutan, Pung-ol Sibugay, Sapangdaku, Sinsin, Sudlon I, Sudlon II, Tabunan, Tagba-o, Toong, Labangon, Suba, Punta Princessa, Poblacion Pardo, Inayawan, Sawang Calero, Mambaling, Tisa, Guadalupe, Basak San Nicolas, and Calamba.
The budget for the financial assistance was among the items outlined in the recently approved Supplemental Budget No. 7, which totaled P468 million.
