A DRUNK man was mauled by his angry neighbors after he fired a flare gun in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City on Monday night.
Michael Dominguez suffered fractured bones after he was beat up by his neighbors in sitio Aroma past 9 p.m. who were scared that what Dominguez did might trigger a fire.
Neighbors brought him to the police.
Dominguez, a known toughie in the barangay, was later brought to the Mandaue City Hospital for treatment.
During a background check, police discovered that Dominguez had a pending warrant of arrest for murder.
PO3 Nersas Baay of the Mandaue City Police Office said Dominguez also used the name Michael Cabacon to conceal his identity from the authorities.
Aside from the murder case, police said Dominguez will face charges of drunkenness, concealing of identity and disobedience to persons in authority.
According to the records of the Mabolo police in Cebu City, Dominguez was wanted for murder for allegedly shooting dead a bouncer of a night establishment in sitio Panagdaet where he previously worked as security guard.
Police said Dominguez and the victim argued before the shooting.
