CEBU CITY, Philippines ? The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) and other police agencies have reported readiness for the upcoming Sinulog festivities.
During an inter-agency conference on Monday, police officials from Cebu Province, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City and other neighboring police offices agreed to coordinate during Cebu City?s Sinulog celebration.
The meeting was led by Senior Superintendent Marcelo Garbo, deputy director of operations of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).
Chief Superintendent Ronald Roderos, PRO-7 director, said police offices outside Cebu have also agreed to assist city policemen to ensure a peaceful Sinulog.
Officials from PRO-7 would serve in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the peace and order situation during the celebration, Roderos said.
Military personnel would also be tapped to augment security and crowd control.
Police auxiliary groups and cadets will also help maintain security.
