THE husband of Erlinda Cagata said he didn't know that his spouse had mailed letters to two judges warning them of bomb attacks in their courtrooms.
Medardo also denied that he was a member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), according to Senior Police Officer Ariston Batalona Jr., of the Mandaue City police.
Medardo told police yesterday he works as a chief parser assigned at one of the ships of Sulpicio Lines Inc. (SLI).
Medardo also said he didn't know his wife was facing estafa cases.
The letters which were mailed from an LBC branch on Colon Street, Cebu City last week were sent to Judge Teresita Galanida of Branch 56 in Mandaue and Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Solivera Peras in Cebu City.
Police submitted the letters for examination to verify if they match with Cagata's handwriting.
Batalona said with Medardo's statements, they can rule out any MILF involvement in the case.
Erlinda remains detained at the MCPO precinct in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
