CEBU CITY, Philippines – The police released an artist sketch of one of the assailants in the gang-style killing of two teenagers in Barangay (village) Quiot, Cebu City, last week.
Senior Police Officer 4 Rogelio Nedamo of the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office said the sketch was based on the description of two female witnesses.
They described one of the assailants as being of regular build, 5’2” in height, white complexion, curly hair, sharp-looking eyes and sporting a mustache.
Police said they hoped the sketch would help them find the suspects involved in the killing of the two boys.
On July 27, Jay, 17, and Ray, 14, (real names withheld) were on board a tricycle, when waylaid by two men riding a blue motorcycle.
The suspects shot the teenagers without any provocation. One was killed instantly while the other died on the way to hospital.
Police investigators speculated that the killing was gang-related since both victims were allegedly members of the Crips gang. /Correspondent Justin Anjuli K. Vestil
