Two men died in separate fistfights in Lapu-Lapu City on Friday.
Joseph Icalina, 28, died after trading blows with his younger brother Harris, who is being hunted down by police.
Police said the two siblings argued outside their home in sitio Kinalumsan, barangay Gun-ob past 6 a.m. after Joseph scolded Harris, 27, for using his slippers without permission.
Police said the argument led to a fistfight.
Police said when Joseph was punched by Harris, he fell down and hit his head on the ground.
Some neighbors brought Joseph to the Lapu-Lapu District Hospital but he was pronounced dead by attending physicians.
Harris fled after the quarrel.
SPO3 Rex Ibañez of the homicide section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office said Joseph was operated in the head last month after he figured in a vehicular accident.
In barangay Basak, a stone craft worker died after a scuffle with his co-worker along General Aviation Road where they had a drinking session at 10 p.m.
Violeto Lechedo, 39, died a few minutes after he was brought to the Lapu-Lapu city hospital.
Police said Lechedo and Artemio Inario, 47, were drinking when they suddenly argued after Lechedo criticized Inario?s way of talking to their boss.
Because of the argument, Lechedo left but Inario followed him.
Inario told Lechedo to settle their differences but Lechedo shoved him, said police.
Inario slammed into a fence because of the push.
Inario tried to attack Lechedo but was restrained by his neighbors, police said.
Police said Lechedo tried to punch Inario but lost his balance and fell to the ground and hit his head on a rock.
Inario was later arrested by police.
In an interview, Inario said Lechedo wanted him to talk to their boss in English.
