THREE persons were hurt when the service firearm of a security guard detailed in a gasoline station in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City accidentally went off.

Anecito Cahayagan, 53, of Royal Knight Security Agency and detailed at AC Petron Gasoline Station along V. Rama Avenue surrendered to the police after the incident that happened around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

Customer Leopoldo Lee Agdeppa, 29, and pump attendants Saturnino Tantiado, 21 and Boyledo Avenido, 21, suffered wounds in the different parts of their bodies from fragments of Cahayagan's 12-gauge shotgun.

Cahayagan told police that he was loading his service firearm when he saw two persons destroying the line rope which served as barricade of the gas station.

Cahayagan said he approached the two persons but they ran away.

Cahayagan said he then went back to his post and unloaded the bullets but the shotgun went off.
